Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire resides in a quiet area of Montreal Island, which is known as West Island. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of diverse communities. People who have never known about it may think it is a separate island facing west. Many times, it is credited as being the place of birth for Amanda Brugel but while that is the case, her time there was not long. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. Her initial ambition was to pursue a career as an actress however, after a rapid expansion, she and her partner could no longer dance with her. In an article written by The Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall, even when she wears heels. When I surpassed my male counterpart and stopped dancing, I quit. Bruce was among the former dancers who turned into acting. Her high school teacher school was the one who pushed her in the right direction. The teacher encouraged her to take part in an audition in a school production. After trying out her options, she was eventually the main character of Anne of Green Gables. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. In the 20+ years since, Brugel has landed roles on over 60 shows on both small and large screens drawing the most attention when she landed the part as Rita on the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was the sole Canadian actor on the show in the season 1 which was viewed only occasionally.
